Professional Profile:

The course aims to train professionals and entrepreneurial citizens with technical knowledge in Information Technology, who will be able to integrate theory to practice, making use of skills and attitudes compatible with the area of information and communication technology.

The course seeks to train professionals capable of acting in the area of Computer Science, with technical competence specifically to:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of computer equipment, identifying the main components of a computer and its functionalities;
  • Identify the basic network architectures and their components, evaluating the needs to replace or update technology;
  • Install and configure basic software and hardware components (operating systems, utility programs and applications, including the performing of backup and recovery procedures);
  • Use systems development environments integrated with Database, with basic knowledge of software programming and documentation;
  • Carry out tests with software, keeping records that enable analysis and refinement of results.

 

Scope of activity:

The IT Technician Course on Macaé campus prioritizes the training of professionals who can work in public, private and third sector institutions that demand computational systems, especially in the development of software solutions, assembly and maintenance of computers, design, installation and maintenance of computer network.

The professional profile of this student is defined by the following competences:

  • Develop and maintain programs following specifications and paradigms of programming logic, using specific environments for such purpose;
  • Recognize and use computer operating systems;
  • Build and implement data models using database techniques;
  • Use logical reasoning in the systemic perception of the computational environment;
