Ongoing Formation School of Workers on Education
These are the goals of the Reference Center:
- Strengthen and expand the actions related to Distance Education;
- Conduct discussions on proposals for differentiated teaching methodologies that promote innovative pedagogical practices, supporting and promoting the execution of these actions by IFFluminense faculty;
- Hold discussions on the use of educational technologies, promoting their use by IFFluminense faculty;
- Promote courses, debates, lectures and study groups on distance education, teaching and technology, teacher training, teaching methodologies, learning strategies, educational technologies;
- Assist in the production of learning objects, educational software, simulators, plugins for virtual learning environments, video classes, illustrations, animations, among others;
- Strengthen and expand actions, along with campuses, that promote the application of differentiated teaching methodologies and the use of educational technologies;
- Support the offer of Lato Sensu and Stricto Sensu postgraduate courses related to distance education, teaching and technology, teacher training, teaching methodologies, learning strategies, educational technologies;

Distance Education Coordination
Goals:
- To strengthen and expand actions related to Distance Education, involving the provision of technical, undergraduate and postgraduate courses;
- To propose policies for the dissemination and improvement of Distance Education courses;
- To support IFFluminense campuses when offering curricular components in the distance modality;
- To promote training courses for the practice of teachers and tutors in Distance Education;
- To endorse technological support for deployment / configuration of the virtual learning environments used by the Distance Education courses;
- To stimulate the research and production of knowledge about Distance Education;
- To develop studies and proposals to reduce student evasion;
Coordination of Teaching Methodologies
Goals:
- To support teaching practice, based on the principles of the role of the teacher as a subject responsible for significant changes that may occur in school education;
- To discuss and disseminate the idea of the teacher as a collaborator in the teaching and learning process, in which students must be active agents. The teacher should motivate critical thinking and reflection on the contents studied;
- To create an institutional program of innovative pedagogical practices, which are based on the use of problematizing teaching methodologies and different learning strategies or didactic resources;
- To promote the continuous formation of the teachers, in a process of dialogue with the community;
- To promote courses, discussions, lectures and study groups on: teaching and learning, use of educational technologies as a support for teaching practice;
- To promote the dissemination of innovative pedagogical practices on IFFluminense campuses;
- To support the use of educational technologies as a support for teaching practice.
Coordination of Design and Audiovisual Projects for Education
Goals:
- To assist in the preparation of didactic material for actions in distance education and in face-to-face teaching;
- To produce didactic materials like: class video, illustrations, animations, among others;
- To assist in the production of artifacts such as: learning objects, educational software, simulators, plugins for virtual learning environments, among others;
- To assist in the research and selection of existing teaching materials;
- To maintain a repository of didactic material produced at IFFluminense;
- To contribute to the development of technologies applied in the teaching and learning process;
- To promote studies and discussions on how Design and Audiovisual can contribute as facilitators in the teaching and learning process;
- To promote initiatives that encourage the use of Design and Audiovisual at IFFluminense;
- To provide training in the use of Design and Audiovisual for educational purposes.
