The Agroecology technician is the professional able to work in systems of agricultural and extractive production, based on agroecological principles and techniques of organic systems of production.
Scope of activity:
The technician in Agroecology works in public and private institutions as well as institutions of the third sector; institutions of Agroecological certification; research and extension institutions; and parks and nature reserves. This professional is able to:
- develop integrated actions, combining the preservation and conservation of natural resources with the social and economic sustainability of productive systems;
- act on soil and water conservation;
- assist in the integrated actions of family agriculture, considering the sustainability of the small property and the productive systems;
- participate in actions of conservation and storage of raw material and in actions of agroecological products processing and industrializing.
Shift:
Morning and afternoon.
Duration:
Three years.
Requirement:
Intended for Elementary School graduates.
