The Farming and Cattle Raising Technician is the professional able to plan, execute and evaluate actions related to the area of agriculture, cattle raising and agroindustry, following ethical, human, social and environmental principles.
Scope of activity:
The Farming and Cattle Raising technician is qualified to work with public (1st Sector) or private (2nd Sector) companies or in NGOs (3rd Sector) of the rural sector; companies of technical assistance, of rural and research extension; parks and nature reserves. This professional is able to:
- analyze the economic, social and environmental characteristics, identifying the potential activities for the implementation of farming and cattle raising projects, aiming at quality and economic, environmental and social sustainability;
- plan, manage and evaluate the activities related to plant, animal and agro-industrial production in all its stages;
- plan, guide, evaluate and follow the process of industrialization of products made out of animal and plant origin;
- plan and supervise the activities related to the maintenance of agricultural machines, equipment and implements, obeying the norms of security and maintenance;
- assist the research and development of new agricultural products and technologies;
- provide technical assistance to Projects in Farming and Cattle Raising;
- organize and manage activities related to the management of farming and cattle raising production;
- implement and manage quality control systems in production.
